Appropriates $500,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the Department of Health Services for a public education campaign on Alzheimer's disease and dementia in rural and underserved urban areas.

Department must distribute funds to a nonprofit organization that demonstrates expertise in memory loss and dementia, operates a 24/7 toll-free hotline with master's-level consultants, and has experience in marketing and public awareness campaigns.

Nonprofit hotline must provide education on Alzheimer's signs and symptoms, decision-making support, dementia crisis assistance, treatment options, referrals to local resources, and interpreter services as needed.

Department of Health Services must submit a report on the campaign's impact to the Governor, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Secretary of State by November 1, 2024.
