Creates new offense of "drug trafficking homicide" as a class 1 felony when transfer of a dangerous drug or narcotic drug causes another person's death and the sale was a contributing cause.

Establishes sentencing for drug trafficking homicide at 10-16-25 calendar years (minimum-presumptive-maximum), with enhanced sentencing of 15-20-29 years for repeat offenders with prior drug trafficking homicide or class 2-3 dangerous offense convictions.

Designates drug trafficking homicide as a dangerous crime against children when victim is under 15 years of age, subjecting it to sentencing provisions under section 13-705.

Amends existing sentencing statutes to include drug trafficking homicide in definitions of serious offenses and violent or aggravated felonies for purposes of enhanced sentencing with prior convictions.

Short title references the "Ashley Dunn Act."
