Requires applicants for initial licensure, renewal, reinstatement, or any limited license in 24 health professions regulated by Arizona to possess a valid fingerprint clearance card issued under title 41, chapter 12, article 3.1, effective January 1, 2024.

Removes previous provisions allowing health profession regulatory boards to conduct their own fingerprint background checks and instead mandates use of the statewide fingerprint clearance card system.

Requires each health profession regulatory board to maintain a public searchable website containing licensee/certificate holder information, disciplinary actions taken by the board, and places of practice or employment.

Applies fingerprint clearance card requirements to boards regulating physicians, nurses, physician assistants, osteopathic physicians, chiropractors, homeopathic physicians, respiratory care practitioners, hearing aid dispensers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, opticians, and radiologic technologists, among others.

Effective December 31, 2023.
