Allows individuals to request amended birth certificates to indicate gender as male, female, or nonbinary without requiring a physician's statement or medical documentation.

Maintains existing amendment procedures for sex change operations or chromosomal differences, which continue to require both a written request and physician verification.

Applies to persons born in Arizona who can request the gender designation change themselves, or through a parent or legal guardian if the person is a child.

Preserves all other existing birth certificate amendment procedures, including those for adoption, paternity acknowledgment, name changes, and court-ordered modifications.
