• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 49-1303 to expand the definition of eligible water supply development projects under the long-term water augmentation fund.

• Designates desalination and distribution projects for brackish or saline groundwater as qualifying water supply development projects that "import water" for fund purposes, regardless of whether monies are expended in-state or the water originates outside state boundaries.

• Maintains the existing 75 percent funding reservation requirement for fiscal years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025 for projects that import water from outside state boundaries.

• Preserves all other existing fund purposes, including purchasing imported water, constructing water facilities, providing financial assistance to eligible entities, and guaranteeing debt obligations for water supply projects.
