Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 9-468 and 11-323 to allow municipalities and counties to use qualified online automated permitting platforms to verify code compliance for solar energy system permits.

Eliminates the requirement for one-line or three-line electrical diagrams in solar photovoltaic system permits when a qualified automated permitting platform is used for code verification.

Defines "qualified online automated permitting platform" as a web-based portal that automates plan review, produces code-compliant approvals, and issues permits for residential solar energy systems and residential energy storage systems in real time.

Makes the same amendments applicable to both municipal (cities and towns) and county solar construction permit standards.

Bill was approved by the Governor on April 11, 2023.
