AZ HB2413

Establishes the Arizona Water Conservation Instruction Fund administered by the Department of Education, consisting of legislative appropriations that do not lapse except for unencumbered monies remaining on June 30, 2030, which revert to the general fund.

Requires the Department of Education to establish application procedures for teachers to apply for grants to cover costs of professional development training in water conservation and drought management instruction.

Authorizes the Department of Education to distribute grant monies to teachers who demonstrate their professional development course will prepare them to teach water conservation and drought management.

Appropriates $100,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the Arizona Water Conservation Instruction Fund.

Repeals section 15-249.01 effective December 31, 2030.
