Adds one additional chief of police position, requiring appointment of one chief from a federally recognized Native American tribe.

Creates one new seat for a certified law enforcement officer from a police department of a federally recognized Native American tribe.

Modifies language regarding law enforcement officers serving in disciplinary cases, changing "must be" to "are" in describing their representational roles.

Maintains existing appointment requirements for sheriffs, public administration faculty member, attorney general, corrections officials, and public members.
