Online lodging marketplaces are prohibited from displaying, offering for rent, or conducting business for any property or operator in Arizona that is not in compliance with all applicable state, county, and local laws at the time of rental or occupancy.

Violations of the compliance requirement result in a civil penalty of $250 per violation, with each day of noncompliance constituting a separate violation.

Cities and towns are authorized to verify and enforce compliance with this section, collect penalties, and report violation numbers and collected penalties to the Arizona Department of Revenue.

"Online lodging marketplace" and "online lodging operator" are defined by reference to section 42-5076 of Arizona Revised Statutes.

Changes the chapter heading of title 44, chapter 38 from "BUSINESSES EXEMPT FROM MASK MANDATE" to "BUSINESSES GENERALLY."
