• Excludes training that occurs outside the context of a teacher's or school administrator's official duties from the parental notification requirement.

• Changes school district policy requirement from "may" to "shall" adopt policies providing parental information in electronic form.

• Extends the same teacher training notification and material access requirements to charter schools, requiring charter school governing bodies to adopt policies prescribing these procedures.

• Applies to training that is required, endorsed, recommended, encouraged, funded, facilitated, or provided by the school district or charter school.
