AZ HCR2001

Authorizes Arizona school districts to spend local revenues in excess of the Constitutional expenditure limitation by $1,385,809,642 in fiscal year 2022-2023.

Requires approval by at least two-thirds of the membership of each house of the legislature by roll call vote on or before March 1, 2023 for the authorization to take effect.

Applies to the aggregate limitation on expenditures of local revenues under article IX, section 21 of the Arizona Constitution.

Prevents school districts from being required to reduce pro rata their expenditures of local revenues for the remainder of fiscal year 2022-2023 if authorization is not granted by March 1, 2023.
