Concurrent resolution supporting a feasibility study to increase the height of Bartlett Dam on the Verde River in Arizona.

Current dam height is 308.5 feet; increasing it 62 to 97 feet would add 60,000 to 115,000 acre-feet of water storage capacity, serving an additional 180,000 to 345,000 households.

Raising the dam would reduce reliance on nonrenewable groundwater supplies and help manage flooding and sediment inflow in the downstream Horseshoe Reservoir.

Legislature urges U.S. Congress to fund a feasibility study for the Bartlett Dam height increase project.
