SB1006 Summary

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 9-802 regarding municipal ordinance adoption by reference.

• Allows municipalities to adopt codes or public records by reference without publishing full provisions, provided the adopting ordinance itself is published in full.

• Permits exhibits referenced in ordinances to remain unpublished if the ordinance includes a statement indicating "exhibits on file at" with the location where they can be accessed.

• Requires municipalities to file at least three paper copies or one paper copy and one electronic copy of adopted codes in the municipal clerk's office for public inspection.

• Became effective June 20, 2023.
