• Allows cities and towns to hold candidate elections either with or without candidates' political party registration indicated on the ballot, replacing the previous prohibition on showing party affiliation.

• Modifies Section 16-502 (ballot form and contents) to include municipal offices in the partisan ballot section for municipalities holding partisan elections.

• Applies to all municipal elections held on or after January 1, 2024.

• Maintains existing provisions regarding district-only voting eligibility, primary election majority declarations, and runoff procedures for municipal elections.
