Establishes the interstate barrier median expansion study committee consisting of 15 members, including 3 senate members, 3 house members, directors of transportation and public safety, representatives from regional government associations, and 2 public members impacted by highway fatalities.

Committee shall examine the current inventory of median barriers on Arizona highways, feasibility of installing barriers, historical fatality and crossover accident data from the past 10 years, and best practices for barrier installation and public safety alternatives.

Department of Transportation shall provide administrative support to the committee; committee members are not eligible to receive expense reimbursement.

Committee must submit a report by December 15, 2023 to the governor, legislature, and secretary of state that includes recommendations for administrative or legislative action and a proposed priority list for median barrier installation.

Section is repealed on September 30, 2024.
