SB 1176 Summary

• Adds "health professional" (individuals licensed under Arizona Title 32, chapters 13, 15, 17, 19.1, 25, or 33) as an eligible person who can request confidentiality of their home address and identifying information from county recorder, assessor, treasurer, and motor vehicle division records.

• Extends confidentiality protections to health professionals' voter registration records and personal information posted on the internet, with the same five-year protection period available to other eligible persons.

• Amends sections 11-483, 11-484, 13-2401, 16-153, 28-454, 39-123, and 39-124 to consistently include health professionals in confidentiality provisions across multiple state record systems.

• Allows health professionals to file affidavits with the presiding judge claiming danger to their life or safety to restrict public access to their identifying information in government records.

• Makes unlawful the posting of a health professional's personal information on the internet if it poses an imminent and serious threat to their safety or their immediate family's safety.
