School personnel cannot shame, treat differently, or serve alternative meals to students with unpaid school meal fees compared to students without unpaid fees, except for students requiring special meals for dietary or religious reasons.

School personnel and volunteers are prohibited from taking disciplinary action that results in denial or delay of meals meeting nutrition standards prescribed in section 15-242 during the instructional day.

Applies to public schools that serve meals meeting state nutrition standards to students during school hours.
