Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 38-296 to require incumbents of salaried elective offices to resign within 30 days after filing a nomination paper for another office.

Removes the previous exception allowing incumbents to file for other offices during the final year of their current term.

Specifies that resignation becomes effective upon filing with the appropriate officer, board, or commission if not accepted within 10 days.

Allows resigned officers to qualify as candidates for other offices during the unexpired portion of their current term, but does not permit simultaneous holding of multiple offices during candidacy.

Violation of the requirement constitutes misfeasance in office and results in declaration of the office as vacant.
