AZ SB1531

Allows Arizona counties with populations under 250,000 persons (based on 2020 census) to use revenues from any source, including special taxing jurisdiction funds, to meet county fiscal obligations in fiscal year 2023-2024.

Limits the use of non-designated revenue sources to no more than $1,250,000 per county for purposes other than the originally intended purposes of that revenue source.

Requires counties with populations under 250,000 persons to report to the director of the joint legislative budget committee by October 1, 2023 if they used alternative revenue sources and specify which sources and amounts were used.
