Establishes the study committee on statewide eviction prevention and housing affordability, composed of legislators from both parties, state officials, constables, housing advocates, property owners representatives, and university researchers.

Committee must conduct a comprehensive study on reducing eviction filings and mitigating costs to tenants and landlords, review eviction-related statutes and practices, and explore systems to ensure tenants understand their legal rights.

Committee shall gather data on rental and home pricing, research housing affordability issues, propose statutory revisions to reduce evictions, and identify state resources to improve the eviction court process.

Committee must submit a report to the governor, legislature president, and house speaker by December 1, 2023, with recommendations for administrative or legislative action.

Committee is repealed on October 31, 2024.
