Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-745 regarding covered and uncovered service status for state employees.

Department of Child Safety (DCS) employees at pay grade 19 or above shall be in covered service, meaning they have appeal rights and are not at-will employees.

DCS positions currently filled by uncovered employees shall be converted to covered service for all future appointments to those positions.

DCS positions currently filled by covered employees shall remain in covered service for the current incumbent and all future appointments, unless the employee voluntarily elects to become an at-will uncovered employee.

Changes take effect on the amendment's effective date and apply to positions at pay grade 19 or above, or equivalent pay ranges under any successor compensation system.
