Honors the Honorable James Henderson, Jr., a member of the Navajo Nation who passed away on December 30, 2022, at age 80.

Recognizes Henderson's service record including Vietnam War service (1966-1968) for which he received the Purple Heart, 30 years of employment with the Navajo Nation in various director roles, and 7 terms in the Arizona State Senate representing district 3 beginning in 1985.

Acknowledges Henderson's advocacy for veterans at state and national levels, elderly individuals, and youth, noting his reputation as a conscientious and effective public servant respected across the political aisle.

Extends the Legislature's sympathies and condolences to Henderson's surviving family members including his wife Elaine, sister Marcella, children, and great-grandchildren.

Adopted unanimously by both the House and Senate on March 15, 2023.
