AZ HB2008

Requires the Director of Water Resources to modify the fourth and fifth active management area management plans by January 1, 2025 to include conservation requirements for industrial water users.

Applies conservation requirements only to industrial users located outside municipal provider service areas, currently not subject to any conservation requirements, and using more than 250 acre-feet of water per year.

Prohibits the state, water department, political subdivisions, and management plans from requiring industrial water users to obtain certificates of assured water supply or meet replenishment obligations under title 48, chapter 22, article 4.

Mandates that conservation requirements adopted under this section include on-site water reuse, recycling, and efficiency requirements.
