Requires inspections of smoke dampers and fire dampers within fire protection systems to be performed according to standards established by nationally recognized standards developing organizations in both cities/towns and counties.

Authorizes the state forester and state fire marshal to provide certified inspectors and resources to assist with fire damper and smoke damper inspections upon request by local authorities.

Applies to fire protection system inspections carried out pursuant to building codes or fire codes adopted by cities, towns, or counties.

Requires each city, town, and county that has adopted a fire code to adopt regulations enforcing these inspection requirements on or before January 1, 2025.
