Courts are prohibited from entering a judgment of acquittal after evidence presentation and before a verdict is issued.

Courts cannot find that an aggravating circumstance or sentencing enhancement was not proven during this same period.

The prohibition applies at any time after parties have presented evidence but before the fact finder issues a verdict.
