Requires persons to store firearms or ammunition in residences using one of three methods: a securely locked box, a locking device that renders the firearm inoperable, or keeping the firearm/ammunition on their person or within immediate reach.

Prohibits storing firearms or ammunition in residences without implementing at least one of the specified storage methods.

Establishes a civil penalty of at least $1,000 for violations of the storage requirements.

Applies to all firearms and ammunition kept in any residence within the state.

The act is formally titled "Christian's Law."
