State Department of Corrections shall conduct a comprehensive study on converting the Marana prison site into a transitional facility for inmates scheduled for release within 60 days.

Study must evaluate the feasibility of establishing a program at the Marana site that provides transitional skills training and connects inmates to transitional services.

Study shall analyze current available resources and identify what additional state resources would be necessary to establish and operate the transitional facility and program.

Department of Corrections must submit a report with study findings and recommendations to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House by June 1, 2025.

This section is repealed on June 30, 2025.
