HB 2292 Summary

• Increases Arizona's minimum wage to $15 per hour effective January 1, 2025.

• Beginning January 1, 2026, the minimum wage shall increase annually by the percentage increase in the consumer price index (all urban consumers, United States city average), rounded to the nearest $0.05.

• Maintains the existing provision allowing employers to pay tipped employees up to $3.00 per hour less than minimum wage if tips combined with wages equal at least the minimum wage.

• Requires an affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the members of each house of the legislature for enactment, as mandated by the Arizona Constitution.
