Municipalities must approve or deny development requests within 60 days of receipt, or the request is automatically deemed approved.

Counties must approve or deny development requests within 60 days of receipt, or the request is automatically deemed approved.

Municipalities and counties may not impose additional requirements on applicants if the request is approved.

If a request is deemed incomplete, the municipality or county must provide written notice within 15 days, and the 60-day approval timeline restarts from that notice date.

Denials must include written reasons, and applies to residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial development requests; effective December 31, 2024.
