Amends section 36-2901 of Arizona Revised Statutes to expand the definition of "physician" to include persons licensed under title 32, chapter 14 in addition to chapters 13 and 17.

Chapter 14 of title 32 pertains to naturopathic doctors, making them eligible to serve as physicians under the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).

Changes the definition of "primary care practitioner" to use the term "licensed" instead of "certified" for nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives.

The amendment does not become effective unless the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approves doctors of naturopathic medicine as service providers by October 1, 2027.

The AHCCCS administration must notify the Arizona legislative council by November 1, 2027 regarding whether CMS approval was obtained.
