HB 2480 Summary

• Department shall develop and implement policies and procedures for random quarterly drug screening of group foster home employees in compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes title 23, chapter 2, article 14

• Group foster home employees must complete an initial drug screening before having any contact with children living at the facility

• Department may conduct random drug screening of any group foster home employee if the employee is involved in an accident or incident resulting in injury to a child at the home

• Group foster homes must submit all random drug screening results to the department within 48 hours of receiving results
