Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-1802 to add "domestic animal" (defined as a dog or cat kept or intended to be kept as a household pet) to the list of property types that constitute a class 6 felony when stolen, regardless of value.

Defines "domestic animal" in the theft statute as a dog or cat that is kept or intended to be kept as a household pet.

Theft of a domestic animal is classified as a class 6 felony under the same provision that applies to theft of firearms and animals taken for animal fighting purposes.
