Requires state board of education to include in social studies academic standards the history and contributions of Asian Americans, African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders in the United States and Arizona.

Mandates a comparative discussion of political ideologies such as communism and totalitarianism that conflict with principles of freedom and democracy in social studies standards.

Requires high school students to pass a civics test identical to the naturalization test, with 60 correct answers needed through graduating class of 2025 and 70 correct answers beginning with graduating class of 2026.

Allows students in grades 7-8 to take the civics test early, and if they score 70 or higher, they are exempt from retaking it in high school.

Requires school districts and charter schools to report aggregate data on civics test results by grade level to the department of education, which must make the data publicly available on school report cards.
