Requires the state board of education to include internet safety instruction in the minimum course of study for students in grades five through twelve beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.

Instruction must cover protecting students from opioids and fentanyl, online predators, safe online communication on gaming platforms, and protecting privacy and cybersecurity on phones and computers.

Department of education must compile and make available age-appropriate resources meeting these requirements to school districts and charter schools by June 30, 2025.

School districts and charter schools may satisfy the requirement using either the department's resources or training provided by county attorneys, state agencies, or federal agencies.

Parents have the right to opt their children out of the internet safety instruction requirement, with schools required to provide opt-out opportunities.
