Removes from Arizona Department of Environmental Quality the requirement to ensure state laws and rules are no more stringent than corresponding federal law (deletes section 49-104(A)(16)).

Mandates the director establish drinking water aquifer water quality standards for perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), chromium-6, 1,4-dioxane, and other perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) detected in public water systems.

Requires the department to review standards and science from other states, federal health agencies, and peer-reviewed studies when developing the new drinking water standards, with annual review requirements.

Standards must be protective of public health including vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants, and children.

Specifies that new PFAS drinking water standards remain in effect only until the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency adopts a final maximum contaminant level for these substances.
