Amends Arizona assault statutes (sections 13-1203 and 13-1204) to expand the definition of aggravated assault.

Adds three new categories of victims whose assault constitutes aggravated assault: public transit employees performing duties on buses, vans or shuttles; airport employees interacting with the public; and railway workers operating trains, light rail, or passenger rail or performing track maintenance.

Modifies classification of assault by recklessness under section 13-1203, changing assault pursuant to paragraph 2 from class 2 misdemeanor to class 3 misdemeanor.

Makes aggravated assault against the three newly protected categories (transit, airport, and railway workers) a class 6 felony.
