Arizona Department of Education shall develop and maintain a computerized database of certificated electronic copies of high school diplomas issued by school districts, charter schools, and accommodation schools beginning January 1, 2026.

Electronic diploma copies must be convertible to portable document format (PDF) and include all information from the original diploma.

The department shall establish procedures for individuals who earned diplomas on or after January 1, 2026 to request electronic copies of their own diploma, with identity verification required.

The department may establish and collect fees for producing certificated electronic copies of diplomas from the database.

The definition of "high school diploma" includes diplomas issued under section 15-701.01 and chapter 7, article 6 of Arizona Revised Statutes.
