State agencies must fly all flags at half-staff on state buildings upon gubernatorial notification of a U.S. military service member's death in action who claimed Arizona as home of record or was stationed in the state.

Governor must notify all state agencies to implement half-staff flag protocols after receiving official casualty notification from the military service member's branch of service.

When flags are displayed on multiple staffs, the Arizona state flag shall always be displayed to the honor of the United States flag.

"Official notification" is defined as casualty notification from the military service member's branch of service.

The act is known as the "Dan Ari Act."
