AZ HB2866

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-2003 to add a new vehicle registration fee category for motor vehicles fueled exclusively by alternative fuel and incapable of operating on any other fuel type.

Sets the annual registration fee for alternative fuel vehicles at $135.

Exempts alternative fuel vehicles from the standard $8 motor vehicle registration fee (or $9 for motorcycles) that applies under section 28-1177.

Requires passage by two-thirds vote of both legislative houses and takes effect immediately upon the governor's signature or upon a three-fourths vote override of a gubernatorial veto.
