Attorney General must request a writ of execution within 30 days after a death-sentenced person exhausts their first postconviction relief petition or the filing deadline expires and all state and federal appeals are exhausted.

If the Attorney General fails to request the writ, the county attorney where the person was convicted must request it instead.

Governor and Department of Corrections must complete the execution within 30 days of receiving the writ of execution.

Governor and Attorney General are subject to impeachment for failing to comply with these requirements.

Proposes amendment to Arizona Constitution (Article XXII, Section 23) to be submitted to voters at the next general election.
