Arizona House of Representatives expels Representative Leezah Sun from office by two-thirds vote, citing violations of House Rule 1 for disorderly conduct.

Representative Sun made a death threat against Tolleson City official Pilar Sinawi at an August 30, 2023 League of Arizona Cities and Towns conference, stating she would "bitch-slap her, throw her over the balcony and kill her."

Representative Sun misused her official position on June 16, 2023 by interfering with a lawful court-ordered child custody transfer and on December 14, 2022 by threatening investigation power against Littleton Elementary School District Superintendent Dr. Roger Freeman.

Superior Court in Maricopa County issued a workplace injunction against Representative Sun on October 18, 2023 prohibiting contact with Tolleson employees and finding her a credible threat to their physical safety.

Arizona House Ethics Committee held evidentiary hearings on December 19, 2023 and January 25, 2024, unanimously concluding Representative Sun's conduct damaged institutional integrity and warranted disciplinary action.
