AZ SB1196

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-947 regarding special restrictions on vehicle lamps and lighting devices.

Allows law enforcement officers to use red or red and blue lights visible from the front of a vehicle while employed in an off-duty capacity for an entity other than their law enforcement agency, or as otherwise authorized by statute.

Maintains existing prohibitions on red or red and blue front-facing lights for non-emergency vehicles, with exceptions for authorized emergency vehicles and historic vehicles with parade or display purposes.

Preserves regulations on flashing lights, including allowances for authorized emergency vehicles, school buses, snow removal equipment, disabled vehicle warnings, and turn signals.
