Amends section 36-3294 of Arizona Revised Statutes regarding the health care directives registry operated by a qualifying health information exchange organization.

Requires the health information exchange organization to establish a process for identifying documents in the registry associated with deceased individuals and remove or distinguish them accordingly.

Mandates the Arizona Department of Health Services to provide vital records information on an ongoing basis to the health information exchange organization to identify deceased individuals and maintain registry accuracy.

Maintains existing requirements that the organization implement industry standard safeguards for security and privacy, provide document submission and revision processes, and allow persons to review, retrieve, revoke, and replace their documents.
