AZ SB1282

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-334 to prohibit the Arizona Department of Transportation from accepting federal monies for highway or state route projects if acceptance is conditioned on designing and constructing bicycle paths or pedestrian walkways as components of the project.

Adds new section 28-508 prohibiting the Department of Transportation from planning, designing, or constructing bicycle paths or pedestrian walkways that are parallel to and separate from highways or state routes.

The prohibition on separate bicycle paths and pedestrian walkways applies to highways and state routes regardless of when they were constructed (before, on, or after the effective date of this section).
