• Establishes an organized retail theft task force within the Arizona Attorney General's office to combat theft, embezzlement, and fraud involving retail merchandise for resale purposes.

• Task force membership includes one full-time prosecutor, one full-time paralegal, one full-time support staff member, and six investigators.

• Task force shall investigate and prosecute individuals or entities involved in purchasing, selling, or distributing stolen retail merchandise, including through internet or network sites.

• Task force members shall meet regularly to review cases, investigate offenses under the Attorney General's jurisdiction, and review cases referred by law enforcement and loss prevention personnel.

• Attorney General must submit annual reports by July 1, 2025 and each year thereafter to the Governor, Legislature, and Secretary of State detailing task force activities and legislative recommendations regarding criminal penalties.
