Schools must offer contracts to probationary and continuing teachers on or after March 15 of each year, with teachers having 15 business days to accept.

Teachers must accept contracts by signing and returning the document or submitting a written instrument accepting the contract terms; any written acceptance with additional terms constitutes rejection.

Receipt of contract offers is deemed to occur upon personal delivery, placement in school mailbox (including email), or two days after being mailed via U.S. postal service.

Continuing teachers who receive the lowest performance classification after evaluation become probationary teachers for the subsequent school year and remain probationary until achieving one of the two highest performance classifications.

Changes clarify that "governing board" replaces references to just "the board" and update terminology from "electronic mail" to "email" throughout the sections.
