Amends sections 38-846 and 38-888 of Arizona Revised Statutes relating to death benefits and survivor pensions in public retirement systems.

Expands the definition of "killed in the line of duty" to include suicide deaths when the deceased member had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Allows surviving spouses of members who died by suicide with a prior PTSD diagnosis to receive the same full death benefits as surviving spouses of members killed in the line of duty.

Applies the PTSD exception to both the retirement system covered under section 38-846 and the plan covered under section 38-888.
