Extends the lifetime cash assistance limit for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients from 12 months to 60 months or the maximum allowed by federal law.

Applies the 60-month limit retroactively to assistance received on or after October 1, 2002, regardless of whether months are consecutive.

Eliminates the previous provision allowing an additional 12 months of assistance based on work program compliance and school attendance requirements.

Prohibits the Department of Economic Security from requiring drug testing for TANF recipients, except as provided in section 46-219.

Effective retroactively from June 30, 2024.
