AZ SCR1001

Prohibits local authorities and state agencies from using photo enforcement systems to identify violators of traffic laws related to speeding, failure to obey traffic control devices, or similar violations.

Repeals existing statutes (28-1202 through 28-1206 and 28-1602) that previously authorized and regulated photo enforcement systems.

Removes the definition of "photo enforcement system" from Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-601 and consolidates it into section 28-1201.

Requires enforcement of traffic laws to remain with trained law enforcement officers rather than automated photo systems or private contractors.

Directs the Secretary of State to submit this measure to voters at the next general election as a ballot proposition for voter approval.
