Governor must appear before the legislature on the third Wednesday of each month during legislative session beginning January 4, 2027, to answer questions from members.

Governor alternates appearing before the Senate (odd-numbered years) and House of Representatives (even-numbered years) on a monthly basis.

During each appearance, governor must answer two questions from the majority leader, two from the minority leader, four questions from randomly selected members (one each), and allow one follow-up question per questioner if requested.

Lieutenant governor may perform these duties if the governor is absent from the state or with approval of the presiding officer.

The provision does not affect other existing rights or privileges of the legislature or governor, and does not prevent either body from enforcing rules of decorum.
